What's The DUST Project? (aka The D.Y.S.T. Project)
Here's a test edit of some of the footage we've been getting.

The D.Y.S.T. Project is a Documentary Film about spiritual gifts and talents, which follows skateboarding and the words of skateboarders. The story is off of the questions we sometimes ask ourselves. Why do I have this amazing ability? Is it a natural talent or is it something that I had to work really hard at? How does this relate to my life? Do I deserve to be this talented at this? How come it's so natural for me, but difficult for this other person? Why am I good at this? What is my purpose? How can this help other people? How can this help me? Why skateboarding? Why now? What should I do about it?

Girls, females, ladies...what ever you call them by, they know how to rip! I've never seen woman skateboard like the way the Skate Like A Girl (SLAG) ladies skated at the Wheels of Fortune II. This event was awesome! If you are a female skateboarder and you haven't been to or maybe even heard of an event like this; you then need to check out skatelikeagirl.com for more information on how to get involved. I am not a girl myself, but I do support the cause. If you're wondering if The G.N.A.R. is all about girl skateboarding, the answer is YES!!! My girl Vanessa was out there riding her board for the Lord and got 4th in the beginner division. Congratz girl! I love you!

If you guys weren't at Skatebarn today (Sunday), you missed out on some female skateboarding action. Vanessa Torres, Amy Caron, Nugget and Tamara Drybrough we killin' it in the advanced division of the national WHEELS OF FORTUNE II. Congratulations to Seattle local Kristin Ebeling for getting 4th place in advance! You go girl!!! There were girls of all ages skating. The Rocket Man was supposed to play a show with Billy Joel tomorrow evening here in Seattle on the Face to Face World Tour, but he is now in the hospital with the flu and a minor case of E-coli. We are all praying for you Elton John! If you want to see the article on Seattle Times click the link below. And no matter where your faith is please pray for the 62 year old man who is coming back Live, legend status! He has unimaginable music. Five Grammy Awards and one Oscar. Wow! The G.N.A.R. is coming to the Barn (aka Skatebarn West) once again for the HALLOWEEN Lock-In Event. October 31st. Oooh Creepy Saturday!!!
It goes from 10pm to 7am in the MORNING. Sounds SICK! I can already feel the HEAT at MIDNIGHT!

Hey guys,

We, The G.N.A.R. and everybody at Skatebarn, had A BLAST Saturday (Oct. 24th 6pm - 10pm) for the COUCH SURFIN' Event 4 Hour Session. There were 3 BEST TRICK Hours. 1. The Fridgerator Extension on the far quarter pipe 2. The Entrance Way Gap And 3. Over The Couch Best Trick! Gnarly tricks went down! We have a video in the works and a bunch of Skatepops Photography coming soon!!!

Here is a list of some of many gnar tricks that went down that night:

OVER THE COUCH

Jason Singler - Kickflip, Backside Flip, and almost stuck a Back 180 Late-Flip
Tranny Danny and Pavel - both did Treflip (as well as another guy)
James Starlin - Switch Heel and Straight Nollie
Isaiah - almost Nollie Treflip WOW!
OTHER TRICKS: Heelflip, DubFlip, and KICKFLIP NOSEGRAB...HUH?
Also Yogi (the smallest but the most courageous kid) tried to Ollie the Couch! He came close, but most of the time he just took a tumble. Ive never seen a kid cry, get picked up, then hit it up on his skateboard again. Way to go YOGI!

This event was so much fun! It consisted of Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Best Tricks, GNAR Wax for the kids, Nomadic Boards and Marrada Boards and ALLY Video Dot Com DVDs for Sick Tricks! And Marshall from Manik was there giving out T-shirts! Wired Energy provided by Uniqueness was there to get all the kids amped up! We give a BIG THANK YOU to SKATEBARN for throwing out such a big event for the rainy season to come.
